Andrea Vega Yudico

Andrea Vega Yudico is CIMA's Assistant Program Officer. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating partnerships and consultations on media development around the globe. Prior to joining to CIMA, she covered the White House and the 2020 U.S. presidential election for NHK, Japan’s public broadcaster, where she followed key developments in national security and foreign policy. Andrea has advocated for press freedom and human rights during her time with Reporters Without Borders (RSF) at its East Asian bureau in Taiwan. She has also written for English publications in China and Uganda. She graduated with a B.A. in International Studies and a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University, where she currently serves as a member of the Hamilton Lugar School’s Emerging Leaders Council.
