Katharina Doets is CIMA’s Assistant Program Officer. In this role, she is responsible for managing strategic partnerships, knowledge management, and facilitating working groups, discussions, and panels in the field of media development and digital governance. Prior to joining CIMA, she was the Partnerships and Fundraising Lead at Human Rights Watch Next Generation London, a reporter at The Conduit, and Learning Consultant at Beyond Group—a multinational consultancy focused on sustainable development in the MENA region.

Katharina is in the final stages of completing her MA in Human Rights from University College London. Her MA thesis focuses on the theoretical and practical exploration of digital mis, dis, and mal-information and its counter response in relation to children’s rights as established in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. She holds a postgraduate in Education from University College London, and a BA in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex.
